Air India Flight Horror: Door Shakes Mid-Air, Crew Uses Napkins to ‘Fix’ It!

New Delhi, June 21, 2025 — Panic gripped passengers aboard an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner en route to Hong Kong after a disturbing mid-air incident involving a door that began shaking and emitting alarming noises. The flight, operating from Delhi to Hong Kong, reportedly experienced what passengers described as a "hissing, growling sound" from a door area, causing fear and confusion inside the cabin.

According to eyewitness accounts, the aircraft’s door began to visibly shake mid-flight, with strange noises escalating as the plane cruised at high altitude. The cabin crew rushed to the scene and, in a bizarre turn of events, used napkins and pillows in an attempt to seal a small gap and muffle the sound.

Several passengers shared videos and posts on social media, detailing their horror and expressing concern over the airline's handling of the situation. “The noise was terrifying, and the way the crew tried to fix it with napkins didn’t reassure us,” one passenger wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Air India issued a preliminary statement saying the issue did not pose a structural or safety risk, and the aircraft landed safely in Hong Kong. However, aviation experts raised concerns about cabin pressure and standard operating procedures in such cases.

“No aircraft door can open mid-air due to cabin pressurization, but any gap causing noise or visible movement is a serious concern and must be thoroughly investigated,” said an aviation analyst.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched a probe into the matter, and the aircraft has been grounded for inspection. Air India has promised full cooperation and assured that passenger safety remains its top priority.

This incident adds to a growing list of mid-air technical scares in recent months, raising questions about maintenance standards and safety oversight.
